Safety Schools? Is my RD list okay?

2330 SAT (750 M, 780 V, 800 W); 4.6 W gpa from a very competitive school (80-100 to top 15-20's every year with at least 60 to ivies), very very above average ECs, good essays, and excellent recs (a professor from my summer program declared me the top student in the 60 student workshop).

I applied ED to JHU but I am trying to figure out what exactly is a safety school for me. Also, my RD list looks like this: Duke, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Rice, Chicago, UNC, Pomona, Cornell, UVA. McGill and Rochester (quadruple legacy and my dad won them a national championship) are my only safeties. Should I try for a higher reach school? Or am I shooting too high? THANKS

McGill sounds safe enough to me. Good luck with JHU!

Do I really though? Should I shoot "higher"?

You would have a chance but there is nothing above to make you stand out from similar applicants (and there are many).
