Navy ROTC and a good pre-med program?

I'm a junior in high school but I feel its never too early to start looking for the right college. I have been in Navy JROTC my whole high school career and have really come to appreciate the military. I would glady join the navy after I am properly educated. Another thing is I have been interested in being a surgeon from a very young age. It's what I've wanted to be my entire life.

Long story short, are there any colleges on the eastern seaboard (Also Ohio) that have Navy ROTC and a really good pre-med program?

I don't know everything about this, but that's why I'm here.

There are many who offer good pre-med programs, Boston University is the first that comes to mind.

However, I would recommend going through Navy ROTC and try to get a billet into the medical corps following. You'll have to get really good grades, and part of getting into the medical corps is getting into med-school after undergrad.

Even from the Naval Academy, there are only 13 spots for the medical corps. I imagine there might be more from all of the other commissioning units because they are not so concerning with turning out unrestricted line officers.

My first pick would be Boston University, but look around, I'm sure there are others. I would not recommend the Naval Academy for getting a Med-Corps spot.

George Washington U would work. Also, congratulations for starting now. It is NOT too early at all. The application process will probably be more time consuming for you, due to ROTC.

I may be missing a few, but here are the schools in the Top 100 of the USNWR National University rankings that offer Navy ROTC -- there is no reason any of them would offer excellent pre-med training:

MIT
DUke
Penn
Northwestern
Cornell
Johns Hopkins
Rice
Notre Dame
Vanderbilt
UC Berkeley
UCLA
Virginia
North Carolina
UC San Diego
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
UC Irvine
UC Santa Barbara
Tulane
George Washington
Boston University

Then those just sneaking into the Top 100

UC Santa Cruz
Drexel
Clark University
Fordham

I would also assume that these Public Flagship Universities in the Top 100 offer NROTC programs, but I have not checked:

Florida
Texas
Texas A&M
Maryland
Penn St.
Illinois
Michigan
Wisconsin
Rutgers
Minnesota
Arizona
