colgate and northwestern denied me today.

I'm trying to decide between Minnesota, Michigan state, Penn state, Pittsburgh, and Depaul. Money for these schools doesn't matter so much anymore. However I still have a hard time deciding.

How does "money not matter SO MUCH ANYMORE"? Can your parents pay OOS rates or not? For English go to the least expensive.

Have you visited any of these schools? That would help you make your decision.

Money does matter but, these schools are nowhere near as bad as NYU. I do NOT want to base my decision solely on which school will give me 1000 dollars more in financial aid than a different school. I have figured that I can mostly afford the Penn st, pitt, depaul, michigan st, and minnesota. I was just wondering what schools are best academically and socially, how good their athletics are and how accepting they are of students. This is what I need help with.

If you can't decide between that many schools then you shouldn't have applied to that many schools, and I am assuming that there are more schools that you applied to that you didn't get in to. All you are doing, aside from over-doing your safety net, is ruining other peoples chances of getting in. I am sorry if I seem harsh, but this should be a lesson for future generations. High school students should be able to find a balance where they have safety schools, but their not just applying to 15-20 schools.

I realize you only applied to 12, but in my eyes that still pushing it. It's one thing if they are reach schools, but if you have gotten into almost all of them, then they are obviously not.

I was denied from 3 and have told all but those five that I will not be attending. They are all massive schools that accept thousands, besides they put the deadline on acceptance of admission there for a reason. Not everyone is set on where they want to head with their lives.
