Hi everyone!
I'll be attending William and Mary in the fall and was wondering if anyone could give me some information on the sororities as I plan on rushing (stereotypes and such). Thanks!

I could definitely tell you some stereotypes but I don't think it would do anyone any good. Once you get here I'm sure you will hear about them, besides it's better to go with who you feel most comfortable with, not who has a certain reputation you want to have. I'm a guy but from what I understand during the (very extensive) rush process you will definitely get a good idea of what every sorority is like.

You don't want to know, nor should you go seek it out. You'll just hear terrible rumors that will ruin your experience. Go in fresh and unbiased, you'll be able to find where you fit in.

AXO: Boring, un- to mildly attractive
Chi O: Drunk, fairly attractive
Tri Delt: Drunk blonde party sluts
DG: Who cares
Kappa: Classy, for some reason
KD: Nice girls, not afraid to party
Phi Mu: Weird girls
Pi Phi: Weed smoking party girls
Theta: Is Theta still around?

You said you wanted stereotypes, there you go. Like the others said though, just figure it out once you get here.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA to the above. Those are VERY outdated stereotypes and you missed a few sororities.

I'd say, in counterclockwise order of the court

Kappa- Popular pretty blonde girls with very little personality. Known to haze.
AXO- Fun, laid back girls. Average to below average looking
Chi O- Hot Party girls with a bad reputation for hazing harshly and being bit**y
Tridelt- Average to above average looking girls who party hard.
Pi Phi- Popular "Hippie" girls who smoke a lot of weed
KD- Pretty girls who aren't fun, fun girls who aren't pretty. Try REALLY hard to be popular.
DG- Preppy girls. Average looking. Boring with a small concentration of weed-smokers.
Phi Mu- Weird girls with close sisterhood.
Theta- Half fun pretty party girls, half boring average looking girls.
Gamma Phi- Sweet girls with a close sisterhood, but forgettable in looks.

All sororities are good and have good reps except phi mu, which is more girl scout troop and less sorority.
