Race and Admission at WM?

I realize that this may not be the most political correct question to ask, but what kind of factor does race play in admissions?

A friend told me that I would have an easier time getting into schools because of the fact that I am Puerto Rican, how true is this?

I know that Hispanics are the smallest minority at WM (excluding Native American's), so how much does my being Puerto Rican help (or hurt) my chances at WM?

it doesn't hurt your chances, and it should help them.

All schools want minority applicants, and minorities to attend.

W&M is looking for a diverse student body. That's what makes the school fresh, dynamic and exciting. Coming from an underrepresented background is one personal quality you have to lend to campus that others might not and plus factors are always good when applying to colleges
