Columbia scholarships

I jus wanted to ask anyone if they knew if Columbia was generous with there financial aid. You see, I had read in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago about how some ivy league institutions are giving free tuition to those whos parents income is less than 60,000. I noticed that Columbia was not on the list of schools. I would really prefer to go to Columbia over any other school, but my financial standing as of right now probably wont allow me.

if they accept you it'll likely be affordable, if not it might be slightly more than you can pay so take out a loan or something, if you choose a significantly worse school for monetary reasons your expected earning potential will decrease, and you could be worse off financially in the long term.

scholarships are not the same as financial aid

you get scholarships because you are smart (and sometimes poor or a minority), you get financial aid cause you're poor

Your grammar, not your poorness, will probably preclude you from attending Columbia. E.g.:

How much do you write in your application for a scholarship? (i.e. word count?)

Um, it's been updated, Columbia's not making you pay if your family's income for the year is below 60 grand, either.
