Some valuable information/opinion about Columbia please!

Hey. I'm a college sophomore but at a community college. I'm hoping to transfer in Fall 2010. I know it doesnt really make sense to ask about my chances of getting into Columbia but I'm too nervous to even apply. With my high school grades I couldnt think of applying to even a small liberal arts college. But my A Level results (similar to what the IB is) are pretty good. Also, in my first semester at the community college, I earned a 4.0 but it was my second semester where I got all A's but 1 D in Calculus II so my 4.0 fell to a 3.59. I'm retaking the course but there is really no chance of getting an A in the class. So, I'm really scared. But I have A's in all other classes.

I gave my SAT 1 twice only to get an 1810. I didn't study both times but I know if I study I can do well. Should I give it the 3rd time? Just the thought of telling schools I'm applying to that I gave it 3 times, is already killing.

And, I am in a few honors societies (just an an active member) but not any other extracirriculars. I know they count a lot so can someone help me with what I should do to improve at least my EC to increase my chance of getting in.

I was wondering if I should even consider applying.
I love the school and the city and I really want to get in but honestly tell me, do I even stand a chance?
