@pucca I completed hs in 2007 and returned to a community college in 2011 hs grades BLAH! CC my gpa is 3.93...took. the GS admissions exam (they do not give scores)

But plenty of people get accepted without interviews!
I have been going insane! People say if you can log onto FA your in! I cannot log in! I been checking my email repeatedly!!

The deadline is June 1st but if you have part 1 of the application done before then they will accept late docs until June 15th. To those who haven't heard anything, I have a friend with better stats than mine and he still waiting. There really is no rhyme or reason to it all.

Also to anyone endlessly checking, I wasn't able to log into FA for a day or two after and didn't receive an email until after they called me. They called me at 5:17 pm so they hang around late. Furthermore, I realized that I did not address W's on my transcript and a couple of other small things in the essay and I didn't get an interview.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me. I am no expert but I met with admissions managers a bunch and probably asked them every question in the book. Good luck to all!

Brandi, many applicants do not hear anything for a week or two (sometimes more) after their interview. The fact that they interviewed you is a good sign; it means that they are interested enough to want to know more about you. There is a person, earlier in this thread I believe, who felt uncertain about how his interview went, waited a few weeks, and got in. I know the wait is rough but give it time.

Got my call from Columbia GS yesterday. Know I'm new here but now all I have to do is figure out how to pay for it.

I did not interview and I did apply for the scholarship. When I spoke to the rep, they said that my essay and my interest in the humanities were appealing to them.

Does CU make a phone call to every student who gets accepted, or the phone call goes out to certain students who are admitted to different programs?

Thank you ChaunceyB. I just received an e-mail from CU just two days stating that they just made their decisions and applicants should be receiving their letters by next week. I just joined this site today and briefly read these forums. CU mostly accepts students with a GPA of 3.8-4.0. My GPA is 3.77. I have one summer class I'm taking now, which will probably increase it a little more, but do you think 3.77 is close to the acceptance range of 3.8?

That doesn't seem fair, their minimum requirement is 3.0, they should be considering all students from 3.0 and up. I thought their process was "holistic" (their word)?

I have a 3.5~ range.

And how did you get this email?
