well, I talked to them though email and they said to expect a mail decision by 15 Nov... so it should be soon .

So decisions will be mailed out by November 15th but the three of us at least have not received interview requests...

I believe the first planning session for admitted students is scheduled for October 30th. So at least a few will know by then, but they may be mostly students who were previously accepted but deferred.

I know it's easier said than done, but I wouldn't worry about it at all yet. It's still quite early in the short cycle of spring admissions.

I am currently working on polishing up my essays to send in Part II within the end of the week. I just discovered the GS program the first week of this month - will it hurt my chances of getting in because I'm completing my application and submitting it literally so close to the November 1 deadline?

As long as you get it in before the deadline it shouldn't hurt your chances at all. Be sure that it is a quality application though, especially your essay!

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am working on my essays - aside from the autobiographical I've written an additional academic essay for my poor college performance as well as the optional essay.

nothing, but they did send out an email saying that the deadline for spring admission is moved to later date because of the storm
