Hen123 – They sent me an advance notification by email, and said the official letter of acceptance has been sent through regular mail and should arrive shortly.

About the financial aid page – I’m now able to log in. I wasn't able to before I received the email (I checked a few times, but not consistently. I’m not sure when exactly it opened up.)

I logged on to the FinAid site on the application checker and it no longer says "...refer to Code IA." It now says "...refer to Code ND." Anyone know what this means?

I've been googling the hell out of the financial aid codes and I've found these explanations from another school that uses the same financial aid system as Columbia.

• Code IA – We are unable to activate your account. Please contact your
financial aid office and refer to Code IA.
• You are not a first time user on Net Partner – your student account
has already been activated and you have a valid PIN OR
• Your account is invalid – your Student ID does not exist.
• Code NQ - We are unable to activate your account. Please contact your
financial aid office and refer to Code NQ.
• You have not entered the account activation questions.
• Code ND – We are unable to activate your account. Please contact your
financial aid office and refer to Code ND.
• The information on record with KS-FASS that we use to validate your
answers to the account activation questions do not contain in data.

@dslau83
sometimes my financial aid flips between IA and invalid and does not exist so I wouldn't stress too much about it.

Its stressful but I'm trying to stay calm, life moves on its not the end all be all if I'm not accepted so trying to be hopeful and staying away from the financial page haha not much we can do at this point except wait

I am 23 years old, 5 yrs in the navy as hospital corpsman.
My high school grades were average about 3.0, after I set my goal
I went to college full time while working full time in the navy but managed to get 3.8 GPA overall with deans list, induced to international business honor society, academic achievement award from the navy education center midwest, etc...
I did a lot of volunteer work, from major events such as chicago marathon to taking care of orphans, big brother sister program, meals on wheels etc.. about 150~200 hrs per year for 4 years.

My essay focused on my life that never seemed to be able to settle in at one place.
I was born in Korea but moved to Canada when I was 11 then moved again to US when I was 16. I went to 8 different schools from elementary schools to high school, 10 if you include two colleges...

OK, so I called the financial aid office and had to give them some information that they were missing. Once I did that, she told me to try and log in and it worked! I changed my pin and filled out my planned enrollment form. So, I guess I am in?!?! I still have not heard officially yet though. Here are my stats:

29 y/o male. Did pretty well in high school, went to the Univ of Texas for a LONG time but ended up failing out because I was on the wrong track, joined the Army as an infantryman. I'm about to end my service just shy of 6 years... airborne, ranger, jumpmaster, etc. Had a stellar career and took online courses while I was enlisted. Obtained a 4.0 the last 21 hours I took, 30 ACT composite. I really hope that I'm in.
