How competitive is your school? i.e do you have naviance and can see if students with your rank or GPA have been accepted to schools like columbia in the past?

SAT is excellent but your class rank. Accepted students (unhooked) are typically in the top ~3% of the class and the international pool is even more competitive (although it helps you're not applying for financial aid) so your chances at columbia look extremely slim.

wait is rank that important? What if the school doesn't rank? Our school is competitive, but we usually get quite a bit of ivys every year. Last year we had around 15 applying to columbia and 2 made it. We get ~15 american unis every year.

Hey I think you've got a great chance! I'm applying as an international student this year too and I can understand your state! Don't worry yours scores stack up quite well and your ECs are quite sufficient too!
