Hey guys do you think its a bad sign if the representative talking to me didn't tell me how I did in the interview, and then when I emailed him following the interview just to thank him for his time, he never responded? I mean, I really thought the interview went well.. Idk, could someone give me some insight?

@raca1111 you're not allowed to have any contact with them (even if it's only to say thank you) prior to the interview. I was informed of this by the alumnus who interviewed me.

Just an fyi, my interview went quite well I do believe! There were some more personal questions ("What are some of your main interests?") along with more Columbia specific questions ("What are your thoughts on the core?").
Overall, I think you just need to know the basics of the school (And since we're ED, I highly doubt you don't know it!). The personal questions will come to you like that because no one can speak more appropriately about yourself than you. Just go in and enjoy it! Mine lasted an hour and a half, a bit longer than the "45 minutes give or take 15 minutes" so I'm happy with how it went down.

anyone else going through phases when they think that they'll be accepted to thinking that they'll be miserably rejected.

^^ oh yes. I'm convincing myself to be content with a deferral.

^ Same here, Although deferral may hurt slightly, I'm telling myself that deferral can turn out to be positive since I can also get RD results from other Ivy+ schools. But I still want to get in in ED round desperately to relieve university pressure. Perhaps I'm justifying deferral so that I can prevent any psychological shock

I agree with all of you; however, phasing ourselves out nearly an entire month before we receive a decision is pretty unhealthy. We'll all end up where we're meant to be
