They say they're releasing decisions mid-December. Not vague at all.

I just got an interview email about an hour ago. They're still going out, it sounds like. Now I'm really freaking out.

Also, I emailed Columbia last Friday and asked to switch application pools, but they haven't done so yet -- do you think that they'll get around to it soon? I'm really stressing over this D:

good luck on your interview orange! just out of curiosity, why did you decide to switch out of ED? i have one with uchicago tomorrow. : ) so excited for decisions. My stats pretty much fall within the top half of ranges but my sat iis have me pretty nervous. i know they dont release stats for those but i submitted a 750 lit and 680 bio. i retook bio this november and i feel pretty confident, so im hoping that i boosted that up. scores come out tomorrow morning at 5 am...gahhhhhh

I'm still ED, I asked to change from SEAS to CC. I think I shot myself in the foot though :\ I'm not sure about engineering anymore... Pretty BS on my part but I hope the other things will pull through for me

Good luck on your UChicago interview!

good luck to you too! it will all work out : ) engineering is a huge commitment and it stinks that the schools are separated. I'm interested in the biological evolution of the human species major (haha, its pretty weird but super interesting- its a mix of anthropology and genetics)

orange: how are they able to do that. wouldn't you need to write a completely different supplement for CC?

I called the admissions office and they didn't say I couldn't, and even gave me directions on how to request the change. To be honest, though, I don't want to be locked into engineering, so I may as well make a crapshoot for CC and try my luck elsewhere in the mean time.

I emailed and offered to submit the missing essay, which really would be all that's missing. I really don't think I'll get in, though.

Random question: Some of my schools ask me what other colleges in applying to. How do I answer that?

Has anyone emailed ugrad-confirm@columbia.edu or ugrad-ask@columbia.edu and heard back? I haven't heard a thing since I emailed them last Friday. I'll wait a little while longer but I really don't want this to take too long I emailed the FA office and got a reply in two days... So I'm hoping for one today.

^ Thanks. I'll call them tomorrow and see what's up with their email. I called last week and they told me to email... Maybe I'll have to push it harder. :\

@karatekid666 -- Yes, they would like them. From Are my chances for admission greater... | Columbia Undergraduate Admissions :

When are Midyear Reports due?

"Please have your school submit the Midyear Report as soon as first quarter or first trimester grades are available if you are an Early Decision candidate; for Regular Decision candidates, as soon as first semester or second trimester grades are available. We will accept the documents either electronically or in paper form via postal mail or fax.

There is no deadline for submitting the Midyear Report/senior grades.

We do not track Midyear Reports/senior grades through the online tracking system."

Finally got subject test scores back today, 780 in Math 2 and 740 in US History.. Yeah, doesn't hold a candle to some of you. But I guess I'm almost kinda "qualified" now!
