Undecided Major

Hello!

I would like to know your thoughts on declaring (for lack of a better word- I know you don't actually "declare" a major on the application) as undecided on my application. Will that hurt my chances in any way? I don't know what I would like to study yet, so I feel most comfortable saying I'm undecided, but I feel like that might come off poorly on an application. Anyway, I know that this school is a reach for most everyone, and I'm not expecting to get in. However, I really like Columbia and would love to know your thoughts (and any other tips you might have while I'm filling this out).

Thank you!

Not really. Most schools don't take the intended major that seriously, as most people end up changing it. you might want to put something anyway though if your profile points in a direction.
