lawlz. 3.0 probably had a perfect SAT and 3.5's parents probably promised to pay the whole 50,000 dollar bill.

I'm applying ED as well. Just curious, how can I get out of ED once accepted ? My financial situation might change, can I defer so I can take a job to support my family?

deferment for a year is possible, but you need to write to the university and request it.

And you can get out of the ED agreement on the basis of insufficient financial aid (it's been done countless times in the past.)
