Yeah. I was hoping I might get one, because I read on the boards that last year's applicants received phone calls. It made me feel really special.

The person in the admissions office who gets to call newly accepted applicants must have the best job in the world that day. Consider the work:

- Call up newly-accepted student
- Inform them of status
- Listen to screams of unbridled joy
- Get thanked profusely
- Get asked some perfunctory questions
- Hang up with a big smile on your face
- Repeat this process every 5 minutes for 8 hours
- Go home

Not bad.

Now I'm stricken with fear that I won't be able to afford Columbia. Bleh.

Here are my stats:

Age: 29 (thus GS)

Major: Physics, or if they let me, a double major in Math and Physics, so it's nice to meet you, Goshamoossy.

GPA: 4.0 at San Francisco City College (a jc)
HS GPA: 2.2!! and I should have received much worse. Twelve years ago.
Transferring as a Junior
