Columbia University has posted its schedule of spring 2008 meetings.

Most of the Columbia events are joint events with its Exploring College Excellence travel partners.

Hmm, looks interesting. Any reason to go to one of these if I've already visited Columbia and plan on visiting the other schools? Do these give any info not available from an on-campus info session?

If it's not a hassle to get to one of them, I would suggest going. It will give you a good opportunity to speak with admissions officers, ask questions, etc. Especially go if you're interested in the other schools that'll be there.

Yeah, I'll probably apply to two of the other schools involved.

Is Freshman year too early to be going to these sort of events? (I've only visited Columbia because I REALLY love it and happened to be in NYC anyway)

I don't think going in freshman year is too early. You probably won't get mail from the colleges until the summer before sophomore year, at the earliest, but it's worthwhile to see what students are looking for among colleges while they are still in high school.
