I bought a Columbia sweatshirt when I visited for the first time two years ago, and wore it to every single one of my SAT and ACTs. And I think a few of my APs as well. It must have been magic because I did well!

I agree that this forum is addictive. Specifically this thread. I check it at least four times each day. I need some serious help. I remember when I first saw threads from last year, I couldn't believe how obsessed they were. Now I can't believe how little they posted in comparison to us.

And if I get rejected, my obsession will only continue with the forums of my other school choices.

It's a weird thought to think that everyone in this thread is Class of 2009. I view everybody as older for some reason...

It's just because we are ever so mature. Afterall, we're considering going to Columbia, we're the newest members of the USA intelligentsia.

I mainly need to hear the decision so that I can get on with my life.

If I get rejected, then, well, fine, I can begin to work on my RD apps in earnest.

If I get accepted, then yay, I can relax.

If I get deferred.. well, ****.

here's a fun fact:

Dartmouth, MIT, Stanford, and Yale all received over 10 percent more early applicants this year. UChicago received 15% fewer. Northwestern received 15% more.

I actually rather not know when decisions are coming out, since I know the night/ hours leading up to it, I would be flipping OUT.

YEAH,
I just found this blog searching random Columbia stuff at school. I like that everyone has the same worries as me. Anyway, I just have to put it out there. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo NERVOUS!!!! I am not really the best qualified so i dont think I have a shot. but who knows right? Well best of luck to everyone! BTW, do we get decision right on the 15th? or do we have to wait or are they earlier?
