I think attendence to this program will help by showing interest in Columbia, and I guess it shows that those who are accepted are considered competitive candidates.

curiosity

just out of curiosity, how many people do you think applied for this program? because, well, does anyone find it weird that everyone who posted on here about applying the program was accepted. feelings on that?

well honestly the people who write on these forums probably wouldn't be considered the "average" applicant. From experience I know that CC posters are usually a little bit more intense so that probably shows through applications as well. Just my thought. But only about five people on here actually replied that they got in...and 50 were accepted.

This was also an invitation only program, so that eliminates a good portion of potential candidates. And it was limited to URM's.

Overland I just transferred to Overland this year. I'm applying to Columbia, too, as an engineering major. So are you in the IB program?

We're spoiling this thread. I think we should pm instead.

I actually went to CE^2. I really encourage anyone who has been accepted to go there. It does reflect well on you. The best thing you can do for your chances of actual acceptance is to show those around you and the admissions who the real you is. You need to actually let go of any hindrance and put your best foot forward, and yet dont be an ass. I know a lot of ppl that went to CE^2 and chose to apply to columbia, got in.

thanks drake333

that was cool advice. although, when you say let them know who you are, and the real deal do you mean when we go there or in our actual application?
