i mean it on both sides, you need to make yourself stand out on the essays but once you get to CE^2 you must be proactive in your approach and demeanor. Your personality and aurora should show here. You want to make a =good= long lasting impressions. for example, The ppl i met there remembered me even on days on campus and when I arrived for orientation and school: both admits and the administration. I believe that helped me stand out in the crowd of tens of thousands of applicants [other than the multiple other things that helped]

good luck though, and when is ce^2 this year? I would like to meet the ppl there or make an appearance. I missed the CE^2 reunion D:

Anyway, see you all October 11th!

activities? erm not sure everyone is different, there is not a sure cookie cutter build. but i did varsity football, track, orchestra, uil, community service, american legion boys state, worked a lot, was a mentor. as for conversations...i was myself, and i acted normal; however, i am eccentric and not easily forgettable...[i say that b/c there were ppl who saw me at ce^2, and days on campus that remembered me and we didnt even talk..lol.] or it could be me being like 6 foot 4 and massive >_> meh. im prolly going to visit teh sunday meeting, with you all. Your days will be BOOKED, with activities, but after like 11 pm your free to do what ev, but if its not ona thrus/fri/sat there may not be as much going on on campus.

i have a couple of questions

1) so we just fly into the airport and there will automatically be people waiting in the baggage claim for us? Is there an emergency number for this?

2) Has anyone recieved any email from Columbia this week because they said they were going to email us more information the week of the 5th....

#1: Apparently? I was wondering the same thing, hopefully they confirm up some of the details in the email. If worst comes to worst, take a taxi? It's only 5 miles from LGA

#2: Nope, no "official" reply from Columbia yet. Still waiting.
