score sending: SAT and AP

1. on the application, i am asked to list my highest known SAT scores for each section. i just took the SAT again today and i am fairly confident that i did better this time. should i write my march scores on my application anyway or should i just write the october 2009 test date? or should i wait until scores come in (10/29) then send in my application? i'm obviously going to be sending a score report, but i wanna know what i should write on my application.

2. what is the easiest and most efficient way of sending AP scores and how should i do it? can i fax a copy of the score report i received or something? what should i do?

greatly appreciated.

okay, don't be annoying bud.

1) do either, if you don't feel like listing bad scores, don't.
2) efficiency is not the same as what you want. the easiest way is to have the collegeboard report the scores directly to columbia as you would the SAT. but that goes to people in the registrar's office. if you want somehow columbia admissions officer to know your scores, send the score report as a fax, with your transcript, in the additional information section of the application. take your pick.

anyhow bud, these questions are so individualized that it is what you want to do. that is probably why no one is clamoring to answer your question.

To back up admissiongeek here, it has been thrown around alot (both on Columbia's website and on CC) and part of a human's common sense: always sent an OFFICIAL score report. duh. self-reporting is ok, but colleges want to see something that College Board sends them DIRECTLY.

i didn't mean to come off as annoying, sorry

i know i will send an official SAT score report, obviously... but i now understand that the AP score report isn't seen by the admissions officers if i send it through collegeboard... i didn't know that at all... thanks for your help...

i think i'll just wait til the 29th to write my october scores on my app, and i will self-report my AP's...

as for faxing the AP score report, would they care if it's only 3 AP tests?
