Chances- Early Decision!!

I know college admissions can be very arbitrary and difficult to predict, but just let me know if I have done enough to be a competitive applicant for Early Decision.

ACT: 33
SAT: 2050 (I am taking it a 2nd time in Nov. and it will most likely increase)
SAT II's: Took in Oct.; I havent recieved the scores yet but they should be decent.
GPA: 3.967 (unweighted)
Class Rank: top 10%
Potential hooks: I am South Indian (does that count as an URM?)
Passion: I have been told that colleges like to see applicants with a passion for a specific subject or activity...I believe that my passion is English (specifically writing). I am working to convey this on my application.

AP Classes:
1. AP Psychology
2. AP US History
3. AP Physics
4. AP Chemistry
5. AP Biology
6. AP English
7. AP Calculus

Extracurriculars/ Volunteer Work:
1. Peer Assistant Leadership (PALS)
- 2 officer positions (Junior Class Representative and Student Council Representative)
2. National Honors Society
- Senior class officer
3. Haslett-Williamston Club Lacrosse
4. Sparrow Hospital Teen Volunteer
- Member of Hospital Teen Board
5. Volunteer at my local temple
- Lead event organizer
6. Clean World Movement Volunteer
- Enviromental Director
7. Ingham Regional Medical Center Teen Volunteer

Awards
1. Skipped sixth grade
2. Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Key Award
3. Congressman Mike Rogers Student of the Month Award
4. John Hancock Promise of America Essay Contest (4th place)
5. Aga Khan Foundation Essay Contest (2nd place)

Summer Activities:
1. Blue Lake International Northern Winds Ensemble
2. National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine
3. Girl's State
4. Volunteering, babysitting etc.

My recommendations and essays should both be excellent. Also, let me know if there is any award/activity that makes me unique and different from other ED applicants, so I can make it more apparent on my application. Thanks, and good luck to anyone else who is applying ED!!

I think you have a pretty good chance, it would help if your SAT scores increased when you take them in November, but other then that, good luck

Being South Indian doesn't make you a URM. It isn't even a hook.

Take it from another Indian: we're actually rather overrepresented.
