interview at law office

i got an email today telling me to contact this lawyer's secretary to set up an interview at his/her office (the emailer didn't give me a name lol)

so, any tips? dress in a full suit? research a little about the school's history?? thanks guys.

Business casual is fine unless you're directed otherwise.

yes, research about the lawyer/firm. any major cases? have good reasons why you want to work there, dress business casual. get a haircut, cover up tattoos, don't smoke cigarettes beforehand.

Stupid advice. He's interviewing for Columbia, not a job at the guy's law firm. It's good to look up the guy for general background, but the interview is about Columbia, not his legal career.

Are you an applicant from Singapore? Because we might have the same interviewer. I too had a lawyer contact me asking me to set an appointment with his sec.

Anyway, I went in business casual, which is the safest attire for the rest of your college interviews as well.

no i'm from jersey.

i'm getting strong suggestions to go with the full suit.. better to overdress than to underdress i'm assuming?
