African-American female going to small private college prep school in central texas. both parents direct immigrants from nigeria, princess on her mother's side (random, i know. someone told me cultural things like that help)

GPA: 3.5 to 3.6 (school doesnt rank)
SAT: 1950 first time, 1980 second time, 2030 superscore (W.780, CR.720 M.530)
SAT II: 710 Literature, 710 US History
APs: 4 US History, 4 Literature, planning on taking 4 more this year
Also taking AP classes in everything but math- AP English, Government/Economics, Philosophy, European History, Pre-AP Pre-cal, taking biology courses dual credit at local college

Acheivements:
-National Acheivement Scholar
-National French Exam

Oganizations
-Interact President (i just organized for the whole school to adopt a child in Angola)
-Yearbook Editor-in-Cheif (for three years)
-Student Council vice-president
-Culture Club secratary
-Quiz Bowl (its this TV game show)
-Basketball (9th thru 12th)
-Track (10th thru 12th)
-Theater
-Speech/Debate
-Family Head (my school is split into families, harry potter style, and im the head of one of the four)

Community Service
-Library: over 100 hours
-elementary school: about 50 hours

essays iffy, teacher recommendations should be good.

You sound just like my cousin who wants to go to Columbia, but she's a junior. Except, she was born in Nigeria.

I think you've got a pretty good chance. Your GPA's kinda low for Columbia standards, but I say apply anyway. Good luck!
