If I don't have many AP's do I have any chance at all?

The most I'd be able to take at my school if done correctly is seven, and I am going to take four.
Eleventh-AP Chem
Twelfth-AP Stat, AP Calculus, AP Eng

Assuming the rest of my application is fine, do I still have any chance, or is my course rigor not good enough? Basically what I am asking is, are they going to throw my application out right away due to mostly honors and few AP classes?

PS-Sorry about the type (no comma) in the title.

I'm pretty sure that as long as your counselor checks the "Most Rigorous" courseload box, you're exactly where you want to be.

I am in the same boat. My school offers about 8 AP classes any given year (we switch off AP bio and physics) and I took two AP's last year and I am taking two (possibly three) AP's this year. I see people on here that have 15 AP classes and I wonder how much weight is put on AP classes. They don't even ask for the AP scores on the application so how much weight can they possibly have?

I wish it was that easy, Siren. Don't the colleges know? They know what high schools offer. Or are you saying I can "talk" to my administrators and get them to enhance my application?

Colleges evaluate you in the context of the school you attend. If you are taking the hardest possible course load available to you, you're fine. Sure you could be taking college classes, but that's not really necessary, it's more of a bonus.

If you're that worried about it, discuss it with your counselor. Just make sure that you don't sound like you're trying to get them to do anything for you.

I really regret not setting myself up in ninth grade. What worries me is that it is *not* the most rigorous available to me. It's mostly worrying me because when I apply I will only have taken ONE AP Exam!(Which is okay, right?)
I think with the right application, I can make it with what I have though. You have culled me worries. Thanks.
