Current Year Courses + Essay questions

Hi.
I'm an international. What should I fill in the current year courses section? I don't have AP, IB etc. I have studied the same subjects for 11th and 12th grades and they are the courses prescribed by the government education board. So when I have to write
Coursename/Level/Credit value
Should I write
<Subject name>/<Govt edu board name>/<Max marks obtainable out of 100>
or should I write
<Subject name>/<Govt edu board name>/<Marks that I OBTAINED out of 100>.

And in the short commonapp essay, can I remove some spaces(like I did b/w the word can and the comma -->"essay,can" in this line) to save up on characters?
Thanks.

No idea for your question about classes, but for the essay, you can't do that. Leave the spaces in

Strange. I just read this on the common app help:
"Please do not add any special formatting or unnecessary spaces since these are counted in the character count."
I think this means I can knock off extra spaces. Not b/w two words, but perhaps b/w a word and a comma/full stop...

How is that an unnecessary space?

Fine. It isn't.
Any idea about my first question? It's that one which has me in a fix.
