Teacher Recs. Paper or Online?

So my counselor said that since my school only does transcripts on paper, all of the other forms have to be on paper. I understand that, but when i asked her if Teacher Recs had to be on paper too, she said she didn't know. My school doesn't deal with the common app much, as most of the students go to state schools. Can you guys give me an answer, preferably one backed up by facts from the Common App website? I already got my teachers Emails and need know soon because i'm trying to apply to the University of Chicago early action, Nov 1.

Thanks guys

"Most Common Questions", question #1:

"Yes, you can submit your application online even if the teachers/counselors elect to complete hardcopy forms. If the school forms are online, the teacher/counselor may opt out of using the online form by clicking the link within the notification email. Please encourage the teachers and counselors to fill out the forms online, however, since this process is much easier for the schools."

i got a question: if the teachers do the recs by paper, do i still have to invite them in order to tell the common app website that they're doing it by paper?

What do you mean by "to invite" your teachers.

that's how the teachers do the recs online. You put their name and email on the website and it "invites" them with an email with a link to do the rec. And, i don't think that you need to invite them if they do it on paper, but then again im not a super moderator or anything, im just a high school student.

Touche lazydog! Supermod or not, my ignorance of the electronic CA shows as I haven't actually done it myself. And because of that, I'll have to leave the answer to sports' question to someone who has.

p.s. I was pretty intimidated when my title changed from plain Mod to SM, such responsibility!
