@mirsad05

I think you can go to the College Board website and they will tell you how each college uses the writing score. For example, I know it will say if the college only uses the writing score as a "validity check" against your Common App essay.

I'm pretty sure book award is regional. I don't know if it varies from book award to book award, but I know the Princeton book award was awarded to six people in the "Baltimore area" (not just one from each school or something).

i am fairly sure that book awards are school level since they hand them out per school. Often though only a few schools will actually have book awards.

What's the level of recognition for "AP Scholar w/ Distinction"?

I can't leave it blank

I was told the AP awards, however insignificant they may be, are national honors.

This is a dumb question... Is National Merit semi-finalist national?

Haha okay...ya I only have two other awards, so I thought I'd put the AP thing on there too, especially because I got it Sophomore Year (took an AP Freshman Year and two Sophomore Year)

^ If I know that I'm going to get an AP award but haven't received it yet, should I include it as an award/honor?

Would Governor's School count as an honor or should it go under additional info?

I have a question about extracurricular activities (yes, I started my application extra-early); I am a member of my school newspaper, and I've held different positions different years (i.e. reporter, editor); do I add a different extracurricular for each position or just explain them within one blurb?

I held different editorial positions in different years; I plan on putting all under one heading.
