Is anyone else afraid to do the online teacher recs?

I can visualize the teachers typing out something that needs editing but not realizing they can edit it, and thinking they have to send what they have.....or accidently hitting send before it is finished.....

Does anyone have ideas for supporting their teachers in doing this process correctly? (Yes, I am a compulsive worry-wart.)

Don't worry, I feel the same way. I hope my teachers just fill out the forms on paper. Chances are though that you teacher has filled out dozens of teacher recs before. If they need help they'll ask you. you don't want to come off as pushy.

If you don't enter an email ID for your teachers, you can print out the forms and give them. That would save the trouble I guess...

Yes, but aren't you supposed to

go TOTALLY online, if you do online apps? I mean, not mix and match hard-copy with online? I would rather do hard-copy teacher recs, and online for the rest of it, but I think that's verboten.

No?

well they want you to do either ALL recs by paper or ALL recs electonrically, I don't believe they enforce that you have to have your common app and recs both electonrically (mostly because a lot of teachers still don't use email and electonric submissions). I would not worry about it. If you have compotent teachers they will know how to write recs, but I would wait on requesting those because schools sometimes have their own procedures through Naviance and you want to request recs in person.

Yeah, here's an idea: give them the benefit of the doubt and leave them alone. I'm sure most teachers are smart enough to be cautious when doing something new, especially since they know it will have a big impact on your future. They'll do everything they can to help you, because that's part of being a teacher, and you most likely can't do anything to "support" them.
