Teacher recs

For one of my schools, there are 2 slots for teacher recs. I already listed two teachers and both have submitted, but I have decided that instead of using the 2nd teacher, I want to replace his rec with a rec from a third teacher. Can I remove his and replace with a rec from the third teacher? I tried removing the college from my colleges and then adding the new recs and this works, but what I want to know is that if the old recommendations were already sent. I have not submitted my application yet.

Even if it did sent, it wouldn't hurt you if you send more than 2.
