Hey guys I have a question about your grades/classes when you apply to a UC.

I'm currently an undergraduate, and if I want to apply to UCI in 2012, I have to make an application on 2011, a whole year before I plan on attending, that seems a little bit too early. Also, my GPA isn't up to the plate yet so I need some extra time to take extra classes to raise it up. Say if I were to get a 3.0 gpa during the time I applied for UCI (my beginning of my 3rd year of CC), but my last semester before I might get accepted/denied into UCI I got a 3.5 gpa (during the end of my 3rd year of CC). So does that 3.5 GPA gets added to my transcript when I apply as well or is the 3.0 gpa I got during the time I applied the only thing that matters? I'm really worried about this.
