Sports for priority at orange coast college?

I'm going to be going to occ in the fall and my registration date is in august and i dont think i have a high chance of getting any classes so i was thinking of joining track so i could get priority. how does that work? will i get a new registration date or what?

According to OCC's website:

First-year players -- To be eligible to participate on the OCC Track & Field team, the student-athlete must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units and attend those classes at the beginning and throughout the spring semester (season of competition). Dropping below 12 units during the season will deem that athlete ineligible and will prohibit him from further competition.

okay thanks a lot! i emailed the track coach to be put on the early registration list
