Rivers Cuomo of Weezer went to Santa Monica.

Does anyone actually rank CCs?

Miami-Dade College is an excellent 2-year college. I am very familiar with the higher education options in south Florida, and I can tell you that if they offered a 4-year degree in what I'm majoring in, I would definitely have stayed there.

I would say that the criteria potential CC students should consider when deciding on the "best" school would be articulation agreements/transferability of credits, faculty, and course offerings. With that being said, it would make sense to decide what school you want to transfer to and look into the CC nearest to it. That's because the faculty will likely overlap to some degree, and chances are the schools will have agreements about requirements and transfer credits. As far as determining which CC nationally is the "best," it's just about impossible to do so objectively because there are too many factors involved.
