Any feedback on Glendale Community College?

I just graduated from high school a week ago, and I'm going to start classes at GCC on Monday (Art Hist and Business Law first session, English 101 and Speech 101 second session). Most of my friends who go there are completely useless, and really have no feedback on the school. So does anyone have any positive or negative experiences with GCC? Do they have a good transfer rate? I'm interested in Occidental for biology, but would REALLY prefer to double major in biology and business administration, but if Occidental is good, then I'll just go with my original major (biology) and take it there. But back on point, would it be possible to get into a good school such as Occidental if I start out at GCC and get amazing grades and then transfer? Thanks for any help!

I go there too!
Just don't be like rest of the people, they go there to have fun.
But just study like hell, get those GPA up, and you are good to go.
I think we are #2 in transfer below Santa Monica CC.
Get in to Scholars and study like crazy. I personally didn't
study hard enough didn't get anything below C but useless.
I gotta get them As and so do you.
Good luck!

Yeah, the people there are a bit lazy there sometimes. They're not willing to put in any effort! And I can't do scholars, which sucks. =/ I'm trying to get out of GCC in one year, but scholars only accepts apps in the fall semester, and I'll only have 17 by then (I'll have 36 at the end of fall, but it'll already be too late). It sucks!
