com. college for film

i'm looking for a good one for film (of course). However, there's some criterias I need to look up.

First of all, I'm planning to transfer to CalArts (Film and Video program). You know that CalArts is unlike any other good film school (USC, UCLA). They expect artistic pieces and doesn't care whether the film is fun to watch (good for commercial ones) or not. So, I'm looking for a com college which could challenge my artistic expression and could bring me to CalArts.

And another thing, I need community college with good internship programs so that I could create channels to the industry.

Second of all, I prefer com college near LA (or at least in California) so that I could visit CalArts whenever I can .

I've known about Santa Monica College (is it true they only accept 17 years old and above students??), El-Camino College, Philadelphia CC (this one is recommended from RISD's admission officer) and Long Beach City College. What do you think of them?

Los Angeles City College is a CC that has a lot of graduates working in the film industry, so I'm sure there's a lot of opportunity in that school.
