Further Educating yourself beyond CC

Is it possible to attain a 4 year scholarship by going to a community college for about 2yrs? Im asking because during high school i did not take it so serious. I mean im a smart guy and i just coasted through school, i didnt study for anything at all and i had As and Bs through out my whole high school career and i did not pursue college at all. I basically was going to join the military. I have realized how everyone is affected by war, I have seen first hand how America has went and ruined so many people's lives in the middle east and i do not want any part of it. What I am asking is basically if it is possible to get a 4yr scholarship to a big university or state college through busting my butt off in community college and taking the SAT subject tests and ACTs and stuff to get impressive scores to get colleges to look at me and help me to achieve my goals? feel free to contact me thehealer@live.com Thanks a lot! -Jason

Yeah, I did it. So did two other people I went to school with. It's not common but, with a lot of hard work, it can be done.

Some schools offer really good community college scholarships so you'll just have to check out what's offered where you want to go. If you get invited to join Phi Theta Kappa, the two year school honors society, then some schools will either automatically give you a scholarship for that or really consider you for other transfer scholarships.
