Question for CC/ex-CC students?

So this past week, I've been having a lot of trouble going to class. It was partially because of health issues, and partially because I wasn't getting any sleep as a result of studying for 6 classes. I feel terrible for ditching these past few days, and I'm trying to get back on track. But I was just wondering, out of curiosity, are there any community college or ex-community college students who have gotten all or mostly A's even though they didn't go to some of the lectures? Thanks for any input!

Just go to class. Make it a non-issue, get yourself together, take some medicine, and make school a priority. We all have our problems - physical and otherwise - that may prevent us from making it to class.

There was a kid at my CC who was a paraplegic. He had to use every ounce of physical and emotional strength to make the commute to school, attend lectures, and be a full-time student. But, he did it. He's now at a top twenty school studying engineering.

It's a choice.

Christ, that's amazing. Yeah, I wasn't trying to make a habit of it, but I was just getting a bit scared that not going occasionally would really screw me up. It definitely isn't going to become a habit. I can't get into either of my top choices if I flake. But I was just wondering if anyone did it periodically without it negatively affecting their grades. [:

Periodically, sure. Some people get away with it.

Talk with the instructor and seek their guidance. They typically want more than just a paycheck, they want to help kids learn.

@Topolover: Alright, thanks! I'm going to try to talk to my professors this week to see what I can do. My main issue is having a 7am class though, which sucks.
