i don't want either. While I think they're cool 1. they slow everything down and 2. people become more obsessed with them then with the actual site

We have streamlined the board for peak performance under heavy use conditions. I hope everyone is enjoying the zippier performance, but I wouldn't expect to see either avatars or sigs any time soon..
