Because threads are sorted by last reply, members sometimes artificially push threads to the top by "bumping" them. This means they simply add a new post with the word "bump", but because it is less than 10 characters it gets affixed with "10char".
If your thread has been pushed back in the archive without receiving an answer we prefer that you post a follow-up question or even reword the original query. Because they add no intrinsic value, posts containing "bump" may be removed (which then pushes the thread back again).
