| New Server for CC!
We're upgrading our front-end server to a state of the art, dual-core technology server. While we are making this switch, we may see some latency (that's a nice name for slooooow page loads) and occasional brief interruptions. Sorry for the inconvenience, but you should like the results when we are done!

Great, this explains why CC has been quite sluggish this morning |

We had the new server up earlier, but due to a networking issue (not the server itself), things were quite slow. We switched back to the old server while the elves that live under the computer room floor do some new cabling.

Let's guess - I bet it's an Opteron 165.

It's one of the new Intels... I'd probably prefer the Opteron, but that didn't fit with our timing.

We actually have servers in two states, and a backup in a third. All are in large datacenters.
The forum and general site operations have been supported by our professional counseling services, as well as banner ads and the like. It's been our objective from the start to keep both the forum and the articles on the main CC site free resources available to all, and we hope to keep it that way.
