I'm not sure if it is just me, but I have no particular interest in looking at posts where the OP simply links an article. If others feel this way I wonder if such posts can be noted as such (ex. "link" appears in the title or something like that).

    Sometimes I'm interested. I think the poster doesn't always know how they feel about an article, and is looking for comments. My problem is when they link to a source behind a paywall where I've already used up any free clicks (e.g., New York Times).

    I won't open any links posted on this site. I did early on...and got some really questionable info...some quite off color.

    I wish there was a way for these links to be vetted before they were allowed...But I can't see how that could be possible.

    There are just too many spammy sites to open unknown links. Sorry.
