When someone posts, the thread goes to the top. If they want everyone to see it, they'll post "bump" and the thread will be bumped to the top.

Not cool. Bumping is an annoying tactic to try to keep unpopular treads alive. Don't do it.

The only thing more annoying than bumping is cross-posting the same message to multiple threads! (I have been guilty of this)
