How to delete previous posts?

I know you can't delete your account but is there a way to delete previous posts? If there is, how?

I think you can only delete your post if it falls within the timeframe for editing. I don't know how long that time is - but it seems to be hours not days. So if you don't see the Edit button next to Reply on your post I guess it's too late to delete it. Hope that helps - I'm not a moderator or anything, but that's my best guess.

Posts can be deleted by the poster within 20 minutes. After that, they live on -- unless they are reported as "problem posts" (in violation of the Terms of Service).

Posters have the option of previewing their posts. But we do not allow posters to, for example, post questions and then have their posts deleted once they have gotten answers. That would not be fair to the other members of the forum.

Just to amplify, we don't allow deletion of old posts as their removal would ruin the continuity of the archived discussions. The brief edit window is allowed to fix typos but not allow a member to change a post after other members have replied to it.
