College Confidential - The Podcast!

No, we're not doing regular podcasts right now, but we did one in conjunction with a news release on our College Visit area - to listen or download, you can go to this page and click on the desired format (MP3, iTunes, etc.).

Just curious - do you listen to many podcasts? If so, how? On your PC? iPod? Do you download a lot and listen to a few?

I hope many find it helpful. If it goes over well, do you plan on doing another?

Personally, I've never listened to a podcast, so I can't help you there.

I've done some podcast listening - I download a dozen or so to my MP3 player and listen to the ones that are interesting. The big problem I ran into was minor technical stuff - like the name displayed on the player isn't a user-friendly name like "Jack Welch interview", but a 30 character file name that means nothing. So, trying to figure out what you've listened to or what you want to listen to is a bit challenging. I assume these are typical new technology issues that will get sorted out.

The only podcasts I listen to are MuggleNet's weekly MuggleCast, and the podcasts they do conjunction with The Leaky Cauldron (LeakyMugs). I always just download them and listen to them straight from my computer.

I regularly listen to Leonard Lopate of WNYC, Tim Gunn (of Project Runway fame ) and I've listened to some random lectures from Stanford. My husband is currently taking an art history course.

How to Subscribe

Can we subscribe to the podcast? If so, how? I don't want to listen to it on my computer. I prefer using my IPOD in my car.

I download via Itunes site and listen on my IPOD. I subscribe to Princeton Review and Financial Aid Podcasts, in addition to several others.
