individual post count

I am a new member and have made several posts yesterday and today. the number of post under my name still shows no post made. I also have a message at the top of the page that says:
Hello snowball,
Our records show that you have never posted to our site before! Why not make your first post today and be part of our community! Ask a question, give your opinion, or just say hello in the Cafe!

I was just curious why my post were not be counted, not that it is a big deal; just tired of the message at the top of the page.

Edit-Interesting, this post counted, but my others have not. Is it possible that post to the Parent Cafe do not count in the total?

Any Cafe posts do not count in the total post count.

Because technically any cafe post is "off-topic" offering nothing to the CC community as a whole.
