What exactly is "College Summer programs"?

Hello TrumpetDad...many colleges have summer sessions, some of which are geared specifically toward high school juniors and seniors, such as Stanford's 8-week "High School Summer College" session.

So, if your son or daughter has attended any such programs they would briefly describe them in the "College Summer Programs" text field on the stat profile.

How about adding a sort bar in the chart w/ the sat scores and status so organize everyone? i know you can do it from search, but it might be useful to also be able to do that from the results chart. and what if you don't have sat scores? could act scores also be added to the results from search?

Greetings from a not-so-new member of College Confidential! I've been on this site since August 2008, and in my opinion, one of the best things about CC is its 'Stats Profiles' feature. Lately, however, I've realized that the drop-down menu (the alphabetically ordered list of all U.S. colleges) makes browsing for specific schools very inconvenient, and scrolling down for Yale University, for example, can take a very long time since it is near the bottom of the list. It would be great if this could be replaced with a bar in which people could type the names of schools they were searching for (very similar to Facebook's 'Networks') and instantly get the result. Could this be made possible? I feel it would save people a whole lot of time - AND increase the Stats Profiles' appeal to those with less capacity for patience, haha.

I really didn't understand what's supposed to happen after you fill out the student information. Please include a little more explanation about how this works.

And, one specific - when you say "Location" what are you looking for: city, state, both?
