| Creating Polls
In the FAQs: Quote:
To create a poll when you post a new thread, simply click the 'Yes! post a poll' checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible responses you want to include.
When you click the submit button, you will be taken to the poll creation page, where you can specify the question and the list of responses you want to include.
|
there is no "Yes! Post a poll" checkbox at the bottom of the page. Has it been disabled or something?

We do very few polls, and try to keep them on topics of broad interest.

I hope you reconsider this decision. Polls are tremendously useful and can cover a broad range of topics, from chance threads to "which school is more prestigious for business" and many more that I haven't listed.

I, too, agree with sfgiants. Polls enable people to see the results of a 27-page debate at a glance rather than reading through the whole thread. Plus they may encourage people to join the forum (so they can respond to the polls) if the polls are members-only.

I agree with all of the above posters. Is there some technical reason why polling has been disabled?

He probably think they'll get outta hand. People will make like 10 polls a day. In reality, I dont see that happening though.

Well, why don't you get together and create a poll and see how much interest there really is.....oh, um, nevermind. |

^ lol. that sounds like a good Idea.
But I do think that they might get out of hand...not to the extent of 10 polls a day though.

if they do enable polls, they should do it in all the forums except the Cafe. Otherwise, there will be a number of useless polls like "Do you like Nesquik or Ovaltine?"
