Problem with search?

I tried searching for posts in the Berkeley forum and didn't get back results older than a few months ago. I tried this several times. Help, administrators?

Does anyone know? This is very irritating because I have to manually look through all the posts older than 4 months.

yea, ok at the bottom of the page you can pick options of viewing threads.

Choose

From The: Beginning

Instead of

From The: Last Month


Did that answer your question? Or are you trying to search the forum individually...

If it's the latter, did you try to go to Advanced Search under Search this Forum...and the lastest you can choose is a year ago under Find Posts From:

also, 'new posts' used to go up to 500. now only 250?

Yes christalena2 I did choose "A Year Ago" and it only shows threads up to around October 2006. When I do something like "Older than: A Year Ago" it doesn't turn up any results at all. And yes I am trying to search a specific forum under advanced search.

I'm sorry, i haven't finished rebuilding the search index tables in the DB, i will hopefully have that finished up in the next couple days.

The searches are built back up to about the begining of 2006, i still have about 1.5 million to rebuild.

The search rebuild should be complete by the end of today, all posts should be searchable.
