| Always Unsubscribing
I'm willing to admit that I'm probably technologically incompetent. But I hate clogging up my email with subscribed thread updates. On my control panel, I assume that the default is to automatically add all threads that I have posted in to my subscription list. I would like to change that so that I don't have to remember to unsubscribe every time I post. Is there such a setting? Where is it?
If it is possible, I would like to be able to still add threads to that subscription list that I am particularly interested in or started, while still not having all the other threads listed automatically.

In your control panel, go to "Edit Options" > "Default Thread Subscription Mode" > "Do not subscribe"
For a thread you do want to receive updates, just click on "Thread Tools" > "Subscribe to this thread" > "Instant Email Notification"

Cause you posted at the exact same minute :P
It happens not infrequently, don't worry.

I like the Subscribed threads...it makes them easy to spot the ones where I've posted when I come onto the board. However, I turned off the e-mail notification. That combo seems to work.

I hate the subscribed threads. But then again i'm on cc so much, I automatically check up on what's being posted on every single forum every time I log on, which is usually 1-2 times a day. Subscribed threads just clog up my email

Subscribed threads does NOT = email. Just change the email setting, but the subscribed threads will still show up in your control panel.

subscribed threads show a red star by the thread you posted, right? And what does the yellow light mean?

the red star means you've posted in it before (which in term become temporarily/automatically subscribed, so yes)

Right, got it now. I never saw that setting. It is now set to subscribe but not email.
Thanks!
