| Recommend a Worthy Thread at CC!
Yet another new CC feature - when you encounter a really good thread, you can "recommend" it for headline status either on the home page or the forum it resides in. To do this, when you are viewing the thread, go to Thread Tools and click "Recommend this Thread" - please enter a brief explanation of why the discussion is important, and if you think it merits home page status, why.
By the way, in case you haven't noticed, these threads go into a permanent library after they scroll off the home page or the forum home page, so when you recommend a great thread you are helping preserve it for future CC members.
PLEASE USE THIS JUDICIOUSLY - we want to be sure we highlight the best content for our members, but we don't want to dilute the good stuff with not-so-good stuff.
Thanks for helping us identify the best discussions on CC!

We're working to avoid that, spacepirate. We're almost done with our moves to more powerful (and reliable, we hope) servers.

I thought the "second semester blues " thread was powerful. I applaud all of the posters who were willing to divulge their personal stories for the insight it gave to all of us reading. It may already be a highlighted thread though, I didn't check.

Well I think that the 'Ultimate AP Trade' thread in the AP section is really good.

A "Master List of Final Decisons" thread in the Parents section would be appropriate now. Lots of our sons and daughters have already made up their minds.

Roger, when I pm a moderator or u, why don't I get a reply?! (well, no offense, I just was wondering, is the sending messages to mod/admin disabled or something?)

Can't speak for the mods, but I always answer. Sometimes it takes a few days if I'm backed up.

I wrote an article on "The tax consequences of Scholarships and Fellowships," which can be found at: Tax aspects of Scholarships and fellowships:
This should be made into a sticky post and also placed in the favorite worth thread.
